We are currently looking for a highly motivated NPI-LCE Project Manager (M/F/D) to join our NPI-LCE (New Product Introduction - Life Cycle Engineering) team in Meiningen, Germany. Principle duties and essential functions
Generate NPI project plans, support PLCP projects during product life cycle and transfer plans
Responsibilty for reaching manufacturing key dates and transfer milestones as per timeline
Assess project investments for NPI/transfer projects related to the owned features
Collaborate closely with feature lead and feature team to resolve key design and feasibility issues which may affect manufacturability of the new product
Progress tracking of key projects plans/metric and driving of corrective actions if project goals are found to be in risk
Work with R&D and NPI test engineers to determine the test requirements/concepts to be incorporated into the product
Prototype cost estimates with HW lead and purchasing
Assure material availability for engineering module (EM) builds and ramp up through close cooperation with the assigned supply chain coordinator
Assure necessary test capacity is implemented according to ramp up plan and mature volume
Lead and moderate regular NPI meetings with all relevant project team members, according PLCP process, including project kick-off and post assessment reviews
Generate and update weekly feature wise project status reporting
Continuously improve existing processes, particularly assure true global processes
Knowledge, skills and experience required
Bachelor’s degree or comparable education in Electrical/Industrial Engineering
Team player, effective communicator with very good organization skills
Team leadership and project management experience
Knowledge of all standard MS-Office applications, including MS-Project, SAP and Agile
Knowledge about electrical, optical components and WDM technology is a plus
Ability to analyze complex problems, to interpret operational needs and to develop integrated, creative solutions
Team player with conflict resolution skills coupled with advanced communication skills
