As a Senior Software Engineer you will be a member of a young and dynamic team responsible for designing, analyzing requirements, developing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software solutions for Adtran Infrastructure Monitoring (AIM) products, including but not limited to the following: software product development, device and network layer software architecture, proof-of-concepts, and post-release support.

Adtran Infrastructure Monitoring (AIM) Product Unit is responsible for Adtran’s ALM series of fiber monitoring devices, which provide proactive fiber monitoring solutions which help network infrastructure operators to quickly isolate faults and take immediate targeted action.

Key Tasks:

• Development and maintenance of AIM software products
• Lead development efforts and enforce best practices in the team
• Participate in software architecture and design discussions
• Design Proof-of-Concepts on forward-looking technologies
• Regularly present new ideas to internal and external stakeholders

Desired Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional full-time experience as a software engineer with expertise in Rust and C++
• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related area
• Familiarity with agile software development strategies and project management tools
• Hands-on experience of developing cloud-native software with knowledge of interfaces such as REST/NETCONF/SNMP
• Willing to mentor junior developers with programming tasks
• Knowledge of Telecom/Optical Networks domain is a plus
• Fluent in oral and written English
