ADGA is currently looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect to join our team and support activities on one of our well-established Defence contracts! You will be involved in activities in support of special projects (SSE 42) and minor capital projects.
Tasks include, but not limited to:
- Provide depth to the Project Control Office, specifically on overseeing and forecasting capabilities delivered by six major SSE (Safe Secure Engaged 42 projects)
- Evaluate business, information, and architecture, determine its consistency, integration, and alignment with clients’ business strategies, and recommend changes to the business architecture to improve its integration and alignment.
- Identify future business requirements against the current enterprise architecture, perform gap analysis and prepare migration strategies.
- Assess the feasibility of migrating from the current state to the target architecture and enabling technologies, identify the risks associated with migrating to the target architecture and technologies and make recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Manage the development and implementation of an architectural improvement plan.
- Prepare capability roadmaps, dependency diagrams and other associated work products.
- Interact with project management teams, and ensuring architectures are defined and maintained as required.
- Advise and make recommendations on business services and solutions in an Enterprise Architecture context, in support of service delivery to internal/external stakeholders. Minimal outputs in the EA context include CVs, StratVs, CAPVs, and OVs (Common, Strategic, Capability, and Operational Views).
- Analyze business functional requirements to identify information, procedures, and decision flows.
- Develop the architectures for where, how, and why the various organizational components fit together as they do, and how they support the organization's mandate.
- Ensure consistency and integration with the organization's architectures and business strategies.
- Conduct an assessment of the business/project's architecture and process for alignment to established architecture frameworks.
- Develop architecture modeling standards, processes, templates, and guidelines, as required.
- Coach, mentor, and train the organization to perform any of the above; and
- Perform any other work related to this category.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Secret level 2 clearance.
- A Controlled Goods Certificate is a requirement of our contract. (Consultants must already have this, and ADGA can initiate for full time employees)
- Will be required to work on-site in Gatineau on a full-time basis.
- Must have proof of a university degree from a recognized school the sciences or engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a minimum of 4 of the following assessment criteria:
- Client server architecture and related technologies
- Analyzing, designing, and implementing systems.
- Communications engineering and systems security.
- Real-time or distributed systems.
- Data architecture definition and implementation.
- System life-cycle management for software intensive systems.
- Joint or allied interoperability experience with NATO standards. Standards include but not limited to 4355, 4545, 4559, 4607, 4609, 5516, 5525)
- Experience in process frameworks and applicable standards that include but are not limited to ISO/IEC 12207, ISO/IEC 15288, ISO 9001, Personnel Software Process, CMMI, IPC-610, IPC-620.
- Must have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications and technical proposals in the field of information technology, information management, or engineering. (System, Software, Computer, Communication, Security) experience.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in each of the following criteria listed below:
- Communicating information technology frameworks/strategies to management and technical staff.
- Communicating system engineering direction for projects or systems.
- Providing advice, guidance, and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision making of senior management.
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks, or strategies.
- Performing strategic, operational, or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.
