- Provide on-site support and advice to all client stakeholders and delivery teams;
- Participate in and coordinate, verification, validation activities and test events relating to sensor integration;
- Conduct Eng and management analyses of issues as needed;
- Participate in national and international standards working groups (WG), routine program meetings and domain specific conferences that will assist in the evolution of the Sensor Integration;
- Participate in program Large Solution Increment, HQ Domain and MD Program Increment events as necessary;
- Access, monitor and contribute to SharePoint and Eng information system (EIS) Observations;
- Participate in ISTAR/Geo vision and road mapping workshops;
- Support integration activities on the client systems including, but not limited to Consolidated Secret Network Infrastructure and Joint Secret Information System;
- Develop test plans for all sensor integration capabilities;
- Developing, designing and maintaining test beds, and test procedures; and
- Produce reports and presentations as needed
- Coordinate with stakeholders to assist platform personnel, resolve integration & training issues;
- Maintain all relevant technical documentation in regards to supported applications and equipment in order to support corporate IM;
- Track technical problems and solutions in using the collaborative environments to support configuration control and change management activities;
- Provide system specialist user audits and feedback;
- Responsible for scrum master duties and activities for Large Solution Domain, and HQ Domain;
- Usability and Human Computer Interaction:
- Improve and enhance systems to satisfy users’ needs;
- Enhance usability, which is the measure of the quality of a user’s experience when interacting with a product or system by maximizing effectiveness (achieve goals with product), efficiency (time/effort required to complete tasks) and user satisfaction;
- Work closely with software and Eng teams to develop specialized Graphical User Interface on military embedded hardware devices or software designs for complex applications;
- Identify and create software user interface requirements and analysis of implementation;
- Document the analysis, design and test activities in accordance with development standards.
- Management of authorized Electronic Warfare (EW) equipment distribution;
- Development and maintenance of EW technical publications, including Eng schematics/diagrams, parts lists, Eng changes data, test & evaluation;
- Provide advice to procurement planning in support to EW obsolescence management;
- Support EW Change Management process through configuration of EW Baseline and integration of new devices and technologies to EW systems and networks;
- ISTAR System level architecture for military C4ISR systems; and/or Data architecture definition and implementation;
- Identifying, analyzing and resolving complex communication and information system on all associated platforms and related projects;
- Analyzing, designing and/or implementing solutions for communication and information systems on all associated WLS platforms and related projects;
- System integration, verification and validation, for hardware and software components (COTS and/or custom developed) in new or existing WLS platforms and related projects.
Qualifications
- Proof of STEM diploma (2 year minimum) or University Degree in networking, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a suitable engineering or technical field required to support Land C4ISR.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in system engineering in a minimum of 3 of this assessment area's criteria:
- Demonstrated work experience in planning, configuring, employing and managing command and control communication and information systems in a distributed platform environment or within a client/server environment, or ISTAR systems.
- Demonstrated work experience in identifying, analyzing and resolving complex communication and information system and/or ISTAR system problems.
- Demonstrated work experience in analyzing, designing and/or implementing solutions for communication and information systems or ISTAR systems.
- Demonstrated work experience in developing and documenting system management solutions (tools and processes) for command and control communication and information systems in mobile platforms or within a client/server environment, or ISTAR systems.
- Demonstrated work experience in system integration, verification and validation, for hardware and software components (COTS and/or custom developed) in new or existing systems;
- Demonstrated work experience in life-cycle management of tactical communication and information systems, or ISTAR systems.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a System Specialist on Military C4ISR systems.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the preparation of technical concept documents, system specifications, and technical proposals in the field of Information Technology / Information management or engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in each of at least three of this assessment area's criteria:
- Communicating information technology frameworks/strategies to management and technical staff.
- Communicating system engineering direction for projects or systems.
- Providing advice, guidance and recommendations on technical issues to support the decision-making of senior management.
- Participating in multidisciplinary teams in the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks or strategies.
- Performing strategic, operational or tactical planning for projects or systems to meet corporate strategy.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Secret level clearance with PSPC and a Controlled Goods Certification.
